This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how Scriptspark Studios Private Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of India bearing registration number U59111JH2026PTC028428, having its registered office at SHOP NO.14, 1ST FLOOR, CITY COLONY, AZIZ NAGAR, Dhanbad, Dhanbad, Dhanbad-826001, Jharkhand (“Wriitous”, “we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, stores, shares and protects information relating to users of the Wriitous Platform.

The Platform includes the Wriitous website at https://wriitous.com, the Wriitous mobile application, and the services made available through them.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions of Use, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Service Delivery Policy, and Intellectual Property and Copyright Policy.

By registering for an account, accessing the Platform, submitting a work, enrolling in a Course, or purchasing a Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2.5 Communications

• Providing and administering your account and Services.

• Assigning Submissions to Evaluators and delivering Evaluations.

• Processing refunds and maintaining transaction, tax and accounting records.
• Protecting accounts, preventing fraud and investigating misuse.
• Complying with applicable law and responding to lawful requests.
• Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

4.How we handle your creative submissions

• You retain ownership and copyright in your Submission. Submitting a work to Wriitous does not transfer ownership or copyright to Wriitous.
• Wriitous processes your Submission only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the Service, including receiving, storing, transmitting, reading, analysing, annotating and evaluating it.
• Your Submission may be disclosed to the Evaluator assigned to it, Wriitous personnel who need access to administer the Service, hosting and technical service providers acting on our behalf, and authorities where disclosure is required by law.
• Wriitous does not use your Submission to train machine-learning or artificial-intelligence systems unless you separately and expressly consent to such use.

5.Confidentiality of submissions

• Access to Submissions is restricted to personnel and Evaluators who require access to provide the purchased Service.
• We apply reasonable security practices and procedures to protect Submissions and personal information.
• No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security or secrecy.

6.Sharing of information

• We do not sell your creative Submissions.
• We may share information where reasonably necessary with service providers, Evaluators, and legal or governmental authorities, or where necessary to prevent fraud, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or establish or defend legal claims.

7.Payment information

• Payments are processed by third-party payment aggregators authorised under applicable Indian payment laws.
• Wriitous does not store complete card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs or net-banking credentials on its systems.
• Your use of a third-party payment provider may also be subject to that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

8.Cookies and similar technologies

• The Platform may use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, maintain security, understand Platform usage, improve performance, and analyse traffic and usage patterns.
• You may configure your browser or device to restrict or block cookies. Certain Platform functions may not operate properly if essential cookies are disabled.

9.Data security

• We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, unauthorised disclosure, loss, misuse, alteration and destruction.
• No electronic transmission, website, application, database or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and should notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

10.Retention of information

• We retain personal information and other records only for as long as reasonably necessary for providing and administering Services, maintaining account and transaction records, completing contractual obligations, meeting legal and regulatory requirements, resolving disputes, establishing or defending legal claims, maintaining security and preventing fraud.
• Submissions and Evaluations: Unless a longer period is required by law or necessary for a legal claim, Wriitous will retain Submissions and related Evaluations for [Retention Period to be confirmed] from the date of completion of the relevant Service.
• Routine backup copies may remain until they are overwritten in the ordinary course.

• Raise a grievance regarding our handling of personal information.

• You may contact us to request closure or deletion of your account.
• Deletion may not result in immediate deletion of all information where we are required or permitted to retain information for legal compliance, tax and accounting purposes, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal claims, security, or other legitimate record-keeping requirements.

• The Platform is intended for users who are legally competent to contract.
• Users purchasing a Service must be at least 18 years old. A parent or legal guardian may purchase a Service for the benefit of a person under 18, in which case the parent or guardian is the contracting party and is responsible for the account.
• Where a parent or legal guardian provides information on behalf of a minor, we may process that information for the purposes of providing the requested Service.

• Some technology, hosting, communication, payment or other service providers may process information from locations outside India.
• Where personal information is transferred or processed outside India, we will take steps required by applicable law and use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the circumstances.

• Wriitous is not responsible for the privacy practices, security or content of third-party services. You should review the privacy policies of those third parties before providing them with personal information.

16.Your creative work and publicity

• Wriitous will not publicly display, publish, showcase or use your Submission for promotional purposes merely because you submitted it or purchased a Service.
• Any public display, showcase, publication or promotional use of creative work produced as part of a Course requires separate written consent where required under the Terms.

17.Changes to this Privacy Policy

• We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our Platform, Services, applicable law, data-processing practices, security or operational requirements.
• When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Platform, email or another appropriate method.
• The updated Privacy Policy will become effective on the date stated at the beginning of the revised policy.
